Remodelling Your Bathroom On A Budget

Remodelling costs can run into hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars, and most people don’t have the time or skills to do it themselves or they just don want to do it by them selfs. Here I will give you some tips and advice that you can use to brighten up that jaded bathroom, so it would look nice and smooth.

If you are tied of the tiles in your bathroom then consider adding decorative stickers or transfers to some of the tiles. You can get a whole range of transfers from flowers to birds, but don’t be afraid to use your imagination. Be patient with choosing these tiles, because there are many on market.

Painting wood surfaces such as window frames, doors, bath panels and skirting boards etc. can dramatically change your bathroom décor giving it fresh appeal. Most important is to choose it the right way and keep it “clean” less is more in this case.

Bathroom mirrors and cabinets can be made to look as good as new with a little imagination. Adding colour to mirror surrounds and frames will brighten up any bathroom. Mirrors always create the illusion of a bigger bathroom. You have many different types of mirrors and frames so choose carefully.

Alternatively replacing an old cabinet with easy to fix shelving and matching vanity units for storage is always a good option. Play with various ideas, its good to write some sketches on paper, before you go to the store :) .

A new shower curtain over your existing bath can be installed cheaply and easily. For small bathrooms, using a clear curtain or by choosing one as the same colour as your existing bath can again give an illusion of a bigger bathroom. Nowadays there are huge amount of curtain types on market.

Your don’t have to replace everything in your bathroom to see a massive difference. Consider replacing just the bathroom accessories like taps, soap dish, towel rail, plug, tooth brush holder, robe hook, handles etc.

Purchase some new towels in bright colours like oranges and yellows. A great effect can be obtained by rolling them up and storing them on a shelf or in a basket. By the way some wooden thigns can bring the natural fell to your bathroom also.

Have fun in bathroom decorating :)

You have presented some excellent ideas for bathrooms renovations. This has been one of my pending tasks – looking for a way to make the bathrooms and our kitchen look really superb, even though those rooms are not that big in size. One of the beauties of the Internet, though, is that there is absolutely no scarcity of ideas. At the moment we are not sure what we will ultimately do, but we keep hoping we will come up with something really slick. Just going out of the topic, I was also concerned about the closet storage for our rooms, and again the internet showed its brilliance and I ended my search at http://www.closetandstorageconcepts.com
